So glad you stressed the love story ...Great review. So glad you stressed the love story both here and in FSoG. I felt the same (read the original edition)and am getting a little fed up of the constant emphasis on the sex. I know this is what caused it's huge notoriety but I've always thought of it as romance rather than erotica.<br />I'm also hoping the success of the trilogy will pep up chicklit a bit. For a long time now it's been getting a bit dreary. Not only are the books lacking in sex or any kind of sexual frisson they never seem to focus on a relationship anymore but on rescuing shops or some other project, working through lists, (I won't even start on the 'Club' thing) with a bit of a droopy romance tacked on almost as an afterthought.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
